Submit ReviewMitoBoronic acid (MitoB) is a ratiometric mass spectrometry mitochondrial hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) probe. MitoBoronic acid is taken up into cells and accumulates inside the mitochondrial matrix where it reacts to H2O2 to be converted in MitoP. Measurement of MitoB/MitoP ratio by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) is an indicator of the mitochondrial matrix H2O2 concentration. This method can be used in vitro and in vivo.
