Preparing Stock Solutions

The following data is based on the product molecular weight 307.1. Batch specific molecular weights may vary from batch to batch due to the degree of hydration, which will affect the solvent volumes required to prepare stock solutions.

Select a batch to recalculate based on the batch molecular weight:
Concentration / Solvent Volume / Mass 1 mg 5 mg 10 mg
1 mM 3.26 mL 16.28 mL 32.56 mL
5 mM 0.65 mL 3.26 mL 6.51 mL
10 mM 0.33 mL 1.63 mL 3.26 mL
50 mM 0.07 mL 0.33 mL 0.65 mL

Molarity Calculator

Calculate the mass, volume, or concentration required for a solution.

*When preparing stock solutions always use the batch-specific molecular weight of the product found on the vial label and SDS / CoA (available online).

Reconstitution Calculator

The reconstitution calculator allows you to quickly calculate the volume of a reagent to reconstitute your vial. Simply enter the mass of reagent and the target concentration and the calculator will determine the rest.

Dilution Calculator

Calculate the dilution required to prepare a stock solution.

Proliferation marker for studying neurogenesis.
By Luiz Alexandre Magno on 07/17/2018
Assay Type: In Vivo
Species: Mouse
Cell Line/Tissue: Brain

I used BrdU to monitor cell proliferation in the mouse brain. Preparation of stock solutions of the drug is performed with warm (50ºC) sterile saline. It is advisable to keep the solution for 1h in the water bath at 50ºC with sonicator turned ON to complete solubilization. Aliquots can be kept at -80ºC until the use. The drug was diluted in saline 0.9% and injected i.p. (100 mg/kg). Intracardial perfusion was done 4 h later and BrdU was immunolabeled with an anti-BrdU antibody. The image displays that BrdU is present in the nucleus of the newly formed cells.
