Biological Activity for 2A3

2A3 is an electrophilic chemical probe that acylates the 2'-OH in the RNA backbone. 2A3 can be used for RNA SHAPE-MaP experiments in cell lines or live bacteria. It labels single-stranded or flexible regions more than folded regions (SHAPE methodology) and enables analysis of RNA secondary structures at single nucleotide resolution. For intracellular experiments, 2A3 has higher signal-to-noise ratio and prediction accuracy than NAI (Cat. No. 7004). 2A3 is cell permeable, and can probe both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Preparing Stock Solutions for 2A3

The following data is based on the product molecular weight 188.19. Batch specific molecular weights may vary from batch to batch due to the degree of hydration, which will affect the solvent volumes required to prepare stock solutions.

Select a batch to recalculate based on the batch molecular weight:
Concentration / Solvent Volume / Mass 1 mg 5 mg 10 mg
1 mM 5.31 mL 26.57 mL 53.14 mL
5 mM 1.06 mL 5.31 mL 10.63 mL
10 mM 0.53 mL 2.66 mL 5.31 mL
50 mM 0.11 mL 0.53 mL 1.06 mL

Molarity Calculator

Calculate the mass, volume, or concentration required for a solution.

*When preparing stock solutions always use the batch-specific molecular weight of the product found on the vial label and CoA (available online).

Reconstitution Calculator

The reconstitution calculator allows you to quickly calculate the volume of a reagent to reconstitute your vial. Simply enter the mass of reagent and the target concentration and the calculator will determine the rest.
