Galangin
Biological Activity
TRPC5 inhibitor. Inhibits Ca2+ entry into TRPC5 expressing cells. Inhibits LPS-induced expression of TNFα, IL-6, IL-1β, COX2 and iNOS, in vitro. Attenuates microglial activation, loss of dopaminergic neurons and motor dysfunction in a LPS-induced rat model of Parkinson's disease. Also inhibits proliferation in breast cancer cell lines. Induces autophagy.
