Biological Activity for Acetazolamide

Acetazolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. Modulates epileptiform synchronization in rat brain slices. Increases speed of synaptic vesicle recycling and changes synaptic performance in ex vivo murine neuromuscular junction. Lowers intracranial pressure in healthy rats. Also potentiates the antitumor effects of the HDAC inhibitor MS 275 (Cat. No. 6208).

Preparing Stock Solutions for Acetazolamide

The following data is based on the product molecular weight 222.25. Batch specific molecular weights may vary from batch to batch due to the degree of hydration, which will affect the solvent volumes required to prepare stock solutions.

Select a batch to recalculate based on the batch molecular weight:
Concentration / Solvent Volume / Mass 1 mg 5 mg 10 mg
1 mM 4.5 mL 22.5 mL 44.99 mL
5 mM 0.9 mL 4.5 mL 9 mL
10 mM 0.45 mL 2.25 mL 4.5 mL
50 mM 0.09 mL 0.45 mL 0.9 mL
