Biological Activity for Siramesine hydrochloride

Siramesine hydrochloride is a high affinity σ receptor agonist (Ki values are 0.19 and 17 nM for σ2 and σ1 receptors, respectively). Displays anxiolytic and antidepressant effects in rodents. Also induces cell death in tumor cell lines.
