Highly selective, competitive and reversible inhibitor of protein kinase C (IC50 = 19 mM); interacts at the regulatory domain of the enzyme. May modulate P-glycoprotein in tumor cells in vitro via inhibiton of PKC. Centrally active following systemic administration in vivo.
