Biological Activity for GSK 2879552

GSK 2879552 is a selective lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1) inhibitor. When combined with other small molecules (EPZ-5676, N-methyl-d-aspartate and Bay K 8644), GSK 2879552 accelerates maturation of human pluripotent stem cell-derived neurons. GSK 2879552 inhibits the growth of small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) and AML lines. In vivo, GSK 2879552 (1.5 mg/kg, p.o.) demonstrates tumor growth inhibition in SCLC xenograph mouse models.
