Our short animation explains the dTAG system, which uses small molecule Degraders targeting a fusion protein comprising mutant FKBP12 and a target protein of interest, and harnesses the ubiquitin/proteasome system to selectively remove the fusion protein from cells. dTAG provides a useful alternative to genetic methods of target validation.
