Biological Activity

Scrambled version of 10Panx (Cat. No. 3348), a Panx-1 mimetic inhibitory peptide that blocks pannexin-1 gap junctions, inhibits P2X7-mediated dye uptake, ATP-mediated IL-1β release and caspase-1 activation without altering membrane current in macrophages in vitro. 10Panx also blocks activation of NMDA receptor secondary currents (I2nd) by > 70%.

Epilepsy Poster

Epilepsy is a brain disease that affects 60 million people globally. More than 20 anti-seizure drugs are currently available, but these do not address the underlying causes of the condition. This poster summarizes current knowledge about the development of the condition and highlights some approaches that have disease-modifying effects in proof-of-concept studies.
