Pharmacology
Browse products by pharmacological activity
Pharmacology is the study of the interaction between drugs and biological systems. It is also the study of the body's reaction to drugs, the sources of drugs, their nature, and their properties. The word drug, as used here, is intended to mean any substance (usually a chemical) that alters normal biochemical function. If drugs have medicinal properties, they are considered pharmaceuticals. A drug usually acts on a defined pharmacological target in order to exert its effects.
