Chemical Name:N-Acetyl-L-aspartyl-L-glutamic acid
Biological Activity:
The most abundant peptide neurotransmitter in the mammalian CNS. A
weak activator of NMDA receptors, and a highly selective agonist for mGlu3
receptors. Neuroprotective under non-hydrolysing conditions in vivo.
