Oleylethanolamide
Chemical Name:(9Z)-N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)-9-octadecenamide
Biological Activity:
Lipid mediator and analogue of anandamide (Cat.
No. 1339) that is involved in peripheral regulation of feeding. Does not
activate cannabinoid receptors but is a PPARα agonist (EC50
= 120 nM) in vitro and in vivo; induces satiety through activation of PPARα. Also a
ceramidase inhibitor.

Analogue of cannabidiol that is a potent agonist at the GPR55 cannabinoid receptor (EC50 values are 13, > 30000 and > 30000 nM for GPR55, CB1 and CB2 receptors respectively). Induces activation of RhoA, cdc42 and rac1.
