Biological Activity:
Endogenous agonist peptide for the orphan growth
hormone secretagogue (GHS) receptor. Produced mainly by the stomach, it
stimulates release of growth hormone from the pituitary gland in vitro and in
vivo, and regulates feeding, growth and energy production.
