Biological Activity:
Synthetic lysophospholipid analogue
that selectively inhibits phosphatidylinositol phospholipase C. Also acts as an
agonist at platelet-activating factor (PAF) receptors. Antitumour lipid;
selectively induces apoptosis in tumour cells, sparing normal cells.
