Biological Activity:
Selective blocker of HERG K+ channels; inhibits the
rapid delayed-rectifier K+ current (IKr). Reversibly
prolongs action potential duration in guinea-pig papillary muscle and isolated
ventricular myocytes, without affecting Na+ or Ca2+ inward
currents. Class III antiarrhythmic agent.
