Biological Activity

Non-competitive NMDA receptor antagonist (IC₅₀ = 0.4 μM). Inhibits Ca²⁺ influx and glutamate-induced toxicity in central nervous system neurons. Exhibits age-dependent physiological effects; induces a sleep-like state in young mice and hyperactivity in older mice.
