Biological Activity
Novel non-peptide galanin GAL1 and GAL2 receptor agonist (Ki values are 11.7 and 34.1 μM respectively). Stimulates insulin release in isolated pancreatic islets from normal and diabetic rats. Systemically active in vivo; displays anticonvulsant activity following i.p. administration in mice. Central and peripheral administration also transiently inhibits food intake in rats and mice.Technical Data
M.Wt:(Modifications: Ala-1 = Fmoc-β-cyclohexyl-Ala, Lys-2 = Lys-(4-methyl-2-oxo-2H-1-benzopyran)
