Janelia Fluor® Dyes are tetramethylrhodamine (TMR) based fluorescent dyes that are bright, photostable and cell-permeable. They are supplied as NHS esters for coupling to primary amine groups and are compatible with self-labeling tag systems e.g. HaloTag® and SNAP-tag®. The dyes are suitable for confocal fluorescent imaging and super-resolution microscopy (SRM) techniques, such as dSTORM (live and fixed cells). Photoactivatable derivatives of some of the dyes are available.
We also offer Janelia Fluor® conjugated antibodies and custom conjugation services with our sister company Novus Biologicals.
HaloTag is a trademark of Promega Corporation, and SNAP-tag is a trademark of New England BioLabs, Inc.More Info
Photoactivatable dyes are non-fluorescent until they are excited by light corresponding to their excitation wavelength. They can be particularly useful in super-resolution microscopy, specifically in PALM imaging.More Info
