Biological Activity

Antiviral. Inhibits Zika virus entry in a range of cell types including primary placental fibroblast cells, HUVECs and UtMECs (IC50 values are 0.1, 0.4 and 0.97 μM in U2OS, HBMECs and Jeg-3 cells respectively). Also inhibits cellular uptake of West Nile, dengue, sindbis and chikungunya viruses.
