Biological ActivityHeat shock factor (HSF) inhibitor (IC50 = 1.2 μM). Increases apoptosis in cancer cells treated with the HSP90 inhibitors Geldanamycin (Cat. No. 1368) and 17-AAG (Cat. No. 1515). Blocks downstream induction of HSP27 and HSP70. Inhibits tumor growth in vivo.
