Biological ActivityPotent NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor; inhibits IL-1β production (IC50 = 7.5 nM). Selective for NLRP3 inflammasome over NLRC4 inflammasome and Toll-like receptor signaling. Reduces severity of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis in mice. Also glutathione S-transferase omega 1 inhibitor. Orally bioavailable.
