Chemical Name: Carbonic acid dilithium salt

Biological Activity

Mood stabilizer; thought to act by reducing catecholamine neurotransmitter concentration, through an effect on the Na+/K+ ATPase pump. Effective in the treatment of bipolar disorder. Inhibits GSK-3 in vivo.
