Biological ActivityLoop diuretic that inhibits the Na+/2Cl-/K+ (NKCC) symporter. Also acts as a non-competitive antagonist at GABAA receptors with ~ 100-fold greater selectivity for α6-containing receptors than α1-containing receptors.
