Specificity and cross reactivity:

Recognises rat GLAST and migrates at a band of ~ 65 kDa. Also predicted to cross-react with mouse and human homologues.

Immunogen:

KLH conjugated synthetic peptide ([C]-QLIAQDNEPEKPVADSETKM) corresponding to C-terminal amino acids 524-543 of rat precursor glutamate transporter GLAST (Accession No. P24942) with a cysteine added at the N-terminus of the peptide. 50 μg of immunogen is provided with the antibody as a blocking peptide and can also be purchased separately (Cat. No. 2129).
