Biological Activity:
Mammalian
bombesin-like neuropeptide; first isolated from pig spinal cord. Stimulates rat
uterine smooth muscle contraction, and gastrin and somatostatin secretion in
vitro. Increases blood pressure and pancreatic exocrine secretion in dogs in
vivo.
