Biological Activity:
Cell-permeable,
genotype-selective antitumour agent that activates p53-dependent transcription.
Increases levels of endogenous p53 in tumour cells and protects p53 from
Mdm2-mediated degradation. Displays some selectivity for tumour cells vs. normal cells in an MTT
cell viability assay.
