Chemical Name: 4-Imino-1-(2-phenylphenoxy)-4-piperidinebutan-2-ol hydrochloride

Biological Activity:

A subtype-selective ligand for the α_1B-adrenoceptor. The pK_i values for binding to rat fibroblast cell membranes expressing α_1B(hamster), α_1A(bovine) and α_1D(rat) are 7.1, 5.59, and 5.68 respectively. Appears to be non-selective between α₁ subtypes and α₂ receptors in smooth muscle preparations.
