Biological Activity

Competitive NMDA receptor antagonist (IC₅₀ = 7 nM) that displays no affinity for AMPA or kainate receptors at a concentration of 10 μM. Inhibits NMDA-induced neuronal degeneration and protects from NMDA-induced convulsions in neonatal rats.
