Biological Activity

Non-selective β-adrenoceptor antagonist with additional α₁-adrenoceptor blocking activity. K_i values are 1.61, 1.20 and 68.9 nM for β₁-, β₂- and α₁-adrenoceptors respectively. Also acts as a weak 5-HT_2A/2B antagonist. Displays vasodilatory and antihypertensive actions.
